Daily Practice Summaries
The AI assistant compiles a daily summary of your practice activity (upcoming visits, unread messages, billing issues, and key metrics) so you start each day informed.
DPC practice days are unpredictable, but starting with a clear picture of what needs attention helps your team prioritize. The daily summary is generated by the AI assistant each morning and delivered to managers and clinicians based on their role. Clinicians see their schedule and patient messages. Managers see billing alerts, enrollment changes, and practice-wide metrics.
This page covers what the daily summary includes, how it is delivered, and how to customize its content. Summaries are generated automatically. No action required to receive them.
Daily summaries help catch issues early, like a payment failure that needs follow-up or a patient message that has been waiting since yesterday.
What the Summary Includes
Section titled “What the Summary Includes”The daily summary draws from real-time practice data across scheduling, messaging, billing, and patient management. The AI assembles this data into a readable briefing. It does not interpret or make recommendations about what to do.
Schedule overview
Section titled “Schedule overview”- Today’s appointments: Total count, completed visits, and no-shows so far
- Upcoming week: Number of scheduled and confirmed appointments for the next seven days
- Provider breakdown: Appointments grouped by provider (for multi-provider practices)
Pending messages
Section titled “Pending messages”- Unread patient messages: Count of messages awaiting a response, with the oldest message age highlighted
- Active message threads: Total open threads in your practice
- Threads with recent activity: Threads that received new messages in the past seven days
Billing alerts
Section titled “Billing alerts”- Outstanding invoices: Total dollar amount and count of invoices that are sent, viewed, or overdue
- Overdue invoices: Subset of outstanding invoices that have passed their due date
- Active memberships: Current count of active membership enrollments
- Monthly and annual revenue: Recurring revenue from active memberships, split by billing interval
- Memberships in dunning: Count of memberships currently in the payment recovery sequence (see Automated Payment Recovery)
Enrollment changes
Section titled “Enrollment changes”- New patients: Patients added to your practice in the past seven days
- Membership status changes: Activations, cancellations, and expirations since the last summary

Section titled “How summaries are delivered”Daily summaries are available in two places:
- In-app notification: When you log in, the summary appears as a notification on your dashboard. Select it to view the full briefing.
- Email digest: If email delivery is enabled, the summary is sent to your account email address at the scheduled time.
Default delivery time
Section titled “Default delivery time”Summaries are generated based on your organization’s timezone setting. The default delivery time is 6:00 AM in your practice’s timezone, so the summary is ready before your first appointment.
Changing your delivery time
Section titled “Changing your delivery time”- Navigate to Settings -> AI Assistant -> Daily Summary.
- Select your preferred Delivery Time from the dropdown.
- Select Save.
Role-Based Content
Section titled “Role-Based Content”Not every team member needs the same information. DPC Pro tailors summary content based on your role in the practice.

Multi-provider practices
Section titled “Multi-provider practices”In practices with multiple providers, clinicians see only their own schedule and assigned messages. Managers see a combined view across all providers. If you have access to multiple practices within an organization, you receive a separate summary for each practice where you are assigned.
Customizing Your Summary
Section titled “Customizing Your Summary”You can control which sections appear in your daily summary and whether to receive it at all.
Enable or disable sections
Section titled “Enable or disable sections”- Navigate to Settings -> AI Assistant -> Daily Summary.
- Under Summary Sections, toggle individual sections on or off:
- Schedule overview
- Pending messages
- Billing alerts
- Enrollment changes
- Select Save.
Disable daily summaries entirely
Section titled “Disable daily summaries entirely”- Navigate to Settings -> AI Assistant -> Daily Summary.
- Set Daily Summary to Off.
- Select Save.
You can re-enable the summary at any time from the same screen.
Change email delivery
Section titled “Change email delivery”- Navigate to Settings -> AI Assistant -> Daily Summary.
- Under Delivery Method, choose:
- In-app only: Summary appears on your dashboard but no email is sent
- In-app and email: Summary appears on your dashboard and is emailed to you
- Select Save.
