This page is a quick-lookup resource for the actions practice managers handle regularly in DPC Pro. Each task includes a brief how-to and a link to the detailed documentation.
Patient and Enrollment Tasks
Section titled “Patient and Enrollment Tasks”Add a New Patient
Section titled “Add a New Patient”- Navigate to Patients → Add Patient.
- Enter demographics, select the billing account, and choose a practice.
- Select Create Patient.

Enroll a Patient in a Membership Plan
Section titled “Enroll a Patient in a Membership Plan”- Navigate to the account holder’s profile.
- Assign a membership plan and set the start date.

Add a Dependent to a Family
Section titled “Add a Dependent to a Family”- Navigate to Patients → Add Patient.
- Select the existing account holder as the billing account.
- Enter the dependent’s information and select the relationship type.
- Select Create Patient.

Transfer a Patient to a New Account Holder
Section titled “Transfer a Patient to a New Account Holder”- Navigate to the patient’s record.
- Follow the transfer process to reassign billing responsibility.

Scheduling Tasks
Section titled “Scheduling Tasks”Book a Visit
Section titled “Book a Visit”- Navigate to Schedule → Create.
- Search for the patient, select a visit type and provider, and choose a time.
- Select Save.

Block Time on a Provider’s Calendar
Section titled “Block Time on a Provider’s Calendar”- Navigate to Schedule → Block Time.
- Select the provider, date, start time, and end time.
- Select Save.

Reschedule or Cancel a Visit
Section titled “Reschedule or Cancel a Visit”- Open the visit from the schedule.
- Select Reschedule or Cancel and follow the prompts.

Billing Tasks
Section titled “Billing Tasks”Check for Failed Payments
Section titled “Check for Failed Payments”- Navigate to Billing → Failed Payments.
- Review entries and select Retry, Send Reminder, or Waive as appropriate.

Record an Offline Payment
Section titled “Record an Offline Payment”- Navigate to the outstanding invoice.
- Select Record Payment.
- Enter the amount, payment method, and reference information.

Cancel or Change a Membership
Section titled “Cancel or Change a Membership”- Navigate to the account holder’s profile.
- Follow the cancellation or change process with appropriate dates and proration.

Create an Add-On Charge
Section titled “Create an Add-On Charge”- Navigate to the patient’s billing section.
- Create the add-on charge with the amount and description.

Apply a Credit to an Account
Section titled “Apply a Credit to an Account”- Navigate to the account holder’s profile → Credits.
- Select Add Credit and enter the amount, type, and description.

Run a Revenue Report
Section titled “Run a Revenue Report”- Navigate to Billing → Revenue Report.
- Set a date range and review the results.

Staff Tasks

Section titled “Invite a New Staff Member”- Navigate to Staff → Invite Staff Member.
- Enter their email, name, role, and practice.
- Select Send Invitation.

Change a Team Member’s Role or Permissions
Section titled “Change a Team Member’s Role or Permissions”- Navigate to Staff and select the team member.
- Select Edit next to their practice assignment.
- Update the role or toggle individual permissions.
- Select Save.

Deactivate a Team Member
Section titled “Deactivate a Team Member”- Navigate to Staff and select the team member.
- Select Edit on their practice assignment.
- Set an End Date and toggle Active off.
- Select Save.

Messaging Tasks
Section titled “Messaging Tasks”Send a Message to a Patient
Section titled “Send a Message to a Patient”- Navigate to Messages → Compose.
- Set the type to Patient, select the patient, enter a subject and body.
- Select Send.

Send a Broadcast Message
Section titled “Send a Broadcast Message”- Navigate to Messages → Broadcast.
- Configure the recipients, subject, and content.
- Select Send.

Assign a Conversation to a Team Member
Section titled “Assign a Conversation to a Team Member”- Open the conversation from the inbox.
- Select Assign and choose the staff member.
- Select Save.

Settings and Compliance Tasks
Section titled “Settings and Compliance Tasks”Update Practice Settings
Section titled “Update Practice Settings”- Navigate to Settings → Practice Profile or Settings → Locations.
- Update the relevant fields.
- Select Save.

Review the Audit Log
Section titled “Review the Audit Log”- Navigate to Compliance → Audit Log.
- Use filters (date range, action type, user, patient) to narrow results.

Adjust AI Assistant Settings
Section titled “Adjust AI Assistant Settings”- Navigate to Settings → AI Assistant.
- Enable or disable features, adjust the daily message limit, or toggle patient context.
- Select Save.
